DeromeBrenner: first samples arrive

With much more stuff still on the way, we are beginning to get into the pre-show jitters. Posters, ads, flliers, shelf space, crowd control... The details are neverending, but with extra help, it looks like we'll be able to handle it just fine.

Huggy 5 ready to go on display.

Huggy, temple detail.

With our own Deejay providing solid support on decks, we are sure DeromeBrenner devotees will not be disappointed with what we'll have in store for them.

Happy Thanksgiving from Spectacles for Humans

Just sending a note from Madison, WI to thank your whole crew for the assistance when I was in town in late September. Just got my Onkel frame at the beginning of the week and they are so absolutely motherf****g (pardon) amazing that yes I am taking sweet food-coma time off on Thanksgiving to thank you guys for them. "Feel like a new man" and all that."

REIZ Hecht

For B. B.
Sorry, I never miss a chance to rave about REIZ frames, and with 3 frames sold this weekend to people who have never seen one in real life, this is my way of saying thank you.

I am glad to see you're planning on getting off the Oakley's wagon...Those Chop 2.0 just have to go. If you do end up owning a pair of REIZ frames eventually, I can promise, it will change your life. Literally.

Hecht is an easy choice.

It's rectangular, it's forward, it's masculine. The chunky structure is perfect for displaying colors - from classic to intellectual to funky and best of all, in any color, the frame is a stunning design object.
It's somewhat possible to imagine what I am preaching about, but you will only have the true REIZ experience after you hold a pair of their frames and absorb the sheer beauty spawned by intelligence of design, precision and craftsmanship. There is nothing that comes even close to these frames. Subtle and brilliant in all regards.

Derapage: update

Flying off the shelves faster than any other new brand, Derapage eyewear is proving to be one of the most successful introductions at Spectacles for Humans.
Whatever the reasons are for its immediate success, we knew for a long time it was a line for us and that it will do well. With locals ( and some sharp folks on the other coast) snatching up cool shapes and eagerly embracing Derapage's industrial sequences and sophisticated silhouettes, we are only too happy to announce another addition to existing line up of styles.

2 new shapes will continue the exercise in Swedish stainless steel and a new collection of steel and advanced hi-tech materials will further enrich the pool of choices.

Carbon fiber, Alutex, Icelite... After reading the technical info, we feel like we've been prepped to service a Space Shuttle for a safe landing. Yet all this superb know-how goes into a little object you get to wear everyday. Light, durable and allergy-free, spectacles from Derapage are indeed marvels of modern technology with decidedly Italian spin on design. In other words, we love it.

It's not a myth

MYKITA acetates do exist, and we have proof.

We caught a glimpse of the first styles over a year ago in Paris, but due to disastrous production circumstances and other severe complications ( MYKITA is not at fault!) the release of the initial collection has never occured.
That's why when we caught up with MYKITA designers in Tokyo, we were excited to learn they have sorted things out, found a new reliable manufacturer and are going forward with the plastics, and strong.

While we are still awaiting the official arrival of these gems, Spectacles for Humans' special task agents have obtained a rare sample of the fabled and illusive creature and it is resting gracefully in our window.... for your personal amusement.
